Take Out

I took Stay Thirsty off my list of top 10 Kentucky Derby contenders last week. Watching the colt’s solid season debut in the Gotham for owner Mike Repole and trainer Todd Pletcher today (gotta love sensible stalking tactics, rolling down the lane, 3 1/4-length victory), it’s obvious I moved too soon. But it’s hard to keep runners that haven’t started yet for the season on the list when evolving contenders continue to emerge. Now that this one has, he goes back on. The reshuffle continues...
