Take Back Spring goes from a maiden allowance win to the $200,000 Golden State Juvenile Fillies at seven furlongs on Friday.

“She’s going up the ladder,” trainer Leandro Mora said, “but she is stakes-placed,” the filly having finished third in the CTBA Stakes at Del Mar last July. “She won a maiden race (on Oct. 9), so that should give her more confidence,” Mora said. “I think she has a good chance.”

The field for the Golden State Juvenile Fillies, race three of 10 with an 11:25 a.m. first post: Stormy Adieu, Florent Geroux, 9-2; Take Back Spring, Elvis Trujillo, 15-1; Moonie, Mario Gutierrez, 15-1; My Fiona, Rafael Bejarano, 2-1; Easter Fever, Joe Talamo, 7-2; Joylicious, Victor Espinoza, 12-1; Ashley’s Sassy, Alonso Quinonez, 3-1; Princess Bertrando, Corey Nakatani, 12-1; and Tatum’s Gold, Joel Rosario, 8-1.
