Celebrating one of American racing’s premier race meets at one of its most iconic venues, TVG will broadcast live, on-site from the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club every day of the track’s summer racing season beginning Wednesday.

TVG’s exclusive broadcast of the Grade 1 TVG Pacific Classic on August 18th will highlight the network’s special coverage of the Del Mar season.

“The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and TVG have partnered for 19 years to bring the excitement and atmosphere of Del Mar to racing fans, and we’re excited to bring more resources than ever to this year’s meet,” said Kip Levin, TVG CEO. “In addition to showing every race, every day, our sponsorship and special coverage of the TVG Pacific Classic is a big part of our commitment to support California racing.”

TVG and Del Mar will debut a new enhanced graphics package for the meet, and TVG will use 26 cameras in its HD coverage. Analysts Britney Eurton, Christina Blacker, Mike Joyce, Scott Hazelton, Simon Bray and Todd Schrupp will lead the on-site coverage from Del Mar with additional reporting and color from a rotation of TVG talent.

“Our investment in the Del Mar summer meet is part of our ongoing effort to provide racing fans with the best possible coverage of the top racing from around the world,” said Kevin Grigsby, TVG’s executive producer and vice president. “Through the years TVG has become part of the fabric of the Del Mar racing season. It consistently produces some the top performances and some of the best betting opportunities of the year.”

TVG’s special coverage of the Del Mar season will be shown in HD on Cox Cable, one of the largest cable providers in the San Diego area, and is also available in HD on the new over-the top Watch TVG app via Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV.
