Former trainer and current TVG analyst Simon Bray, who has been off-air for the last month with a back injury, has been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, according to a press release issued this morning by TVG. The popular Bray, whose disease is considered treatable, but not curable, issued the following statement:

“My primary focus will now be fighting this disease. With the help of the doctors at the City of Hope hospital, I will be getting some of the best care in the country. I appreciate the overwhelming support from TVG and I look forward to getting back to the job I love so very much.”

TVG is encouraging viewers to help by making a donation to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. TVG Betfair has also announced that it will match all contributions up to $10,000.
