The University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program will offer one of the most highly anticipated sessions of the 2025 Global Symposium on Racing to the public for free via livestream and video on demand. The panel, which begins Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. EDT, is entitled “The Sustainability Algorithm: Balancing CAW Growth with Racing’s Long-Term Health”.

Special access to this talk aims to disseminate information about this topic to all racing stakeholders, including the everyday player. The session will be moderated by National Thoroughbred Alliance executive director Pat Cummings. Panelists include Elite Turf Club and Monarch Content Management president Scott Daruty, Rhodes College economics professor and horseplayer Marshall Gramm, Horseshoe Indianapolis vice president and general manager of racing Eric Halstrom and New York Racing Association president and CEO David O'Rourke.

The panel will discuss questions about whether the current betting-market structures serve all participants fairly, how rebate programs affect pool integrity and the betting experience for recreational players, and what guardrails racing operators should implement.

Viewers can tune in and access additional details on the RTN symposium coverage website.

For those seeking more expansive coverage of the symposium, all Tuesday and Wednesday panels are available via livestream for $149, with on-demand access included. All proceeds directly support the Race Track Industry Program and its mission to educate the industry’s next generation of leaders.
