Super Screener preview: How to beat the Whimsical favorite

It is tough not looking ahead to the Preakness Stakes after scoring in the Kentucky Derby, by why wait to put our bankroll into play when there are five good Saturday stakes at Belmont, Santa Anita and Woodbine?

Those who did not subscribe to the Triple Crown package can get the next five editions of Super Screener for Preakness, Belmont, and the three weeks in between each of the races including this one for 15 percent off using code PREAK23.

This week's five-pack includes the trio of graded stakes from Belmont Park, but the first graded stakes of the young Woodbine season has our ingenue's eye thanks to a vulnerable favorite in No. 3 Our Flash Drive, who is 1-1 on the morning line.

"This will be her first race since November," Mike Shutty writes. "She just got back into training in March, and – like she did last year off a similar-but-not-as-lengthy layoff – probably will need the race. More importantly in these 6-furlong stakes affairs, you want a horse that specializes at that distance, and most of Our Flash Drive's wins have come at a mile."

The top two win contenders to the Super Screener's eye are No. 1 Miss Speedy (5-1) and No. 8 Hard Edge (6-1). Super Screener prefers the former because of the likely ground-saving trip from the rail but sees potential in both given the chance to beat a big favorite in Our Flash Drive.
