Super Screener preview: Carry on to the Wayward Lass

To paraphrase an old Hollywood cliche, there are no small stakes, just small bettors. Sure, this Saturday might lack the volume, grades and purses of most weekends, but that does not mean there are no wagering opportunities.

This week's Super Screener features a six-pack of stakes with three each from Florida and California. The lone Tampa Bay Downs writeup is the Wayward Lass Stakes, which might prove the most lucrative considering No. 7 Easy Come Easy Go is 20-1 on the morning line and listed not only as a top long shot but also a top win contender.

Each race in Super Screener includes those categories plus most reliable board hitter, top value and other horses to use along with a full writeup on how Mike Shutty sees the race playing out with wagering strategy. "Easy Come Easy Go deserves a long look," Shutty said. "While she appears to be a one-turn specialist, her previous two-turn efforts aren't horrible. She has been away since March but once she resumed training in December, she has been firing bullets, potentially signaling that she is ready to submit a top performance right off the shelf.

"This is as much an under play as anything, but a win bet is certainly warranted if we get the 20-1 morning-line price."

No. 3 Abundancia is Super Screener's other top win contender in the Wayward Lass, and Shutty suggests using her liberally with Easy Come Easy Go in the exotics.
