Super Screener: This long shot can close out your weekend

The first of two extremely busy weekends of Breeders' Cup prep action is this week, with coast-to-coast action on Saturday and Sunday. 

This week's Super Screener features action from 13 races across the three premiere race meetings,  with Aqueduct, closing weekend at Churchill Downs, and opening weekend at Santa Anita all in the mix. Seven of the 13 races are from the Great Race Place, including a pair of stakes on Sunday.

The Sunday slate caught our attention most as Mike Shutty wrote that there is opportunity in opposing champion male sprinter Straight No Chaser in the Grade 2 Santa Anita Sprint Championship, his comeback race to prep for a defense of the Breeders' Cup Sprint.

"The Super Screener top win and top value pick is no. 5 Speed Boat Beach," Shutty wrote. "His return to racing following the 16-month layoff was discouraging, but he markedly improved in his last start. He'll benefit in a big way on the cut back in distance and off a solid pattern of works.

"He'll press no. 2 Straight No Chaser throughout, keeping him in close attendance, and it will come down to one of those for the win. But the Bob Baffert-trained charge offers far more value."
