Super Screener: This is your Arlington Million long-shot key

Super Screener is not alone in tabbing no. 8 Integration the most likely winner of the Grade 1 Arlington Million on Saturday at Colonial Downs.

At 8-5 morning line, Integration is a heavy favorite against seven others in the 1 1/4-mile turf test, and he is the type of favorite who will be well backed by the public as well. Still, there is opportunity here because the only other horse Mike Shutty discusses from the Million is no. 4 Runaway Storm, 20-1 on the morning line.

"Runaway Storm is projected to land on the lead, taking the field through moderate fractions reserving enough energy to be difficult to put away approaching the wire with an excellent shot to complete the exacta at monster odds," Shutty writes. "This is the second-highest scoring horse in the field by Super Screener and is quite balanced for a pace type, and the added distance could contribute to a positive result.

"This will be just his third race in more than a year, and form-cycle analysis results are calling for a massive move forward in this next start. Excluding that hampered trip two races back, Midnight Storm is a perfect 7-for-7 finishing in the superfecta with five exacta finishes. He will definitely outrun his long odds."

The Million is the anchor leg of an all-graded-stakes, all-turf Pick 3 that begins with the Secretariat (G2) at one mile for 3-year-olds and the Beverly D (G2) at 1 3/16 miles for older females and mares. All three races could provide starters in the Breeders' Cup on Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Del Mar.

Speaking of the Breeders' Cup, we're just 12 weeks from the world championships, and you can get all 13 editions of Super Screener between now and then for just $97. This gets you Super Screener each week plus daily power picks and horses-to-single reports.
