Super Screener: Big odds await Keeneland players Sunday

With just three weeks until the Breeders' Cup, the major prep races for the championships Nov. 1 and 2 at Del Mar are complete, but there is still plenty of opportunity to pad the bankroll.

This week's Super Screener features a six-pack of stakes. It is the Grade 2 Franklin Stakes, a turf sprint with an overflow field of fillies and mares on Sunday at Keeneland, that could provide the most opportunity.

Super Screener is available every weekend, and if you subscribe now then you not only get all four editions between now and the Breeders' Cup but also daily Power Picks and Horses to Single Reports for all tracks in North America.

Each race in Super Screener includes top win contender, most reliable board hitter, top value, top long shot and other horses to use under designations along with written analysis and wagering strategy.

An 8-1 morning-line price, Dontlookbackatall, is the top win contender and top value horse for the Franklin Stakes, a 5 1/2-furlong turf sprint that attracted international competition to its oversubscribed field. Those international runners usually take money, which is good news for fans of fillies like Dontlookbackatall.

"She has not missed the exacta in her last ten starts, and I doubt she'll miss it here," Shutty said. "That consistency is thanks to her superior balanced energy distribution profile. She'll be one of the fastest movers late and will be difficult to get past as they approach the wire."

Shutty acknowledges Star of Mystery as being a big factor here at a short price, but that is where the wagering strategy comes in, as Super Screener also gives love to Pandora's Gift at 20-1 on the morning line.
