Super Screener: Picking a winner in Sunday's Santa Ynez Stakes

North America's lone graded stakes Sunday is the Grade 2, $200,000 Santa Ynez for 3-year-old fillies going seven furlongs. And as a bonus, Mike Shutty, creator of Horse Racing Nation's Super Screener, included it in this weekend's handicapping package.

The Super Screener Stakes Weekly analysis is based on a robust, time-tested research methodology driven by a set of rules, with the inspiration for this product came from our loyal Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup Super Screener customers. They have often asked us for a product focused on analyzing the key graded stakes that run each weekend throughout the year.

What's offered here -- for free -- is only a small sample of the full product now available
! This weekend's Screener will also cover Monday's rescheduled Thirty Eight Go Go and Dave's Friend stakes at Laurel Park.

Now, on to the preview...

Midnight Bisou (3-1) has all the makings of a top class filly. Is begging for more ground but gets enough pace and pressure to break her maiden here with an off-the-pace effort. Reserves energy well and will have a ton of it remaining for the stretch drive. Very strong win contender and a handy single to use up and down vertical wagers.

As for a value horse, the Screener likes the multiple route races experience and now  the turn back to the seven-furlong distance for Yesterday's News (8-1). Last race was particularly impressive against a salty bunch. Final BRIS Speed Rating would be much higher but pace was super slow.
