Super Screener: Aqueduct appetizer has value Saturday

We can forgive Super Screener subscribers for champing at the bit to get back to the Triple Crown following Mike Shutty's success with the Kentucky Derby, but the beauty of Super Screener on Horse Racing Nation is that it covers stakes every week.

So do not look past this weekend at Aqueduct with its five stakes races, four of them graded. The most interesting one of all from a wagering standpoint, though, might be the listed Take the A Train Stakes.

Super Screener rates the Take the A Train as having "high payoff potential," and it is easy to see why once noting that two of the "top win contenders" look attractive on the morning line. Disco Star at 8-1 was no match for her stablemate Nitrogen, but this group should be more to her liking. Bunratty Manor at 10-1 offers versatility on the front-end despite gate-to-wire scores previously.

"She benefits from a cutback in distance and offers the best value in the field," at her 10-1 morning-line price, Shutty said.

In addition to top-win-contender designations, Super Screener also categorizes entrants into most reliable board-hitter, top value and top long shots. Super Screener also distils those categorizations into wagering strategy for each race. For the Take the A Train, with its multiple value contenders, Super Screener is heavy in the exacta pool.
