Sunset Stables,
owners of Frost Giant, the winner of the 2008 Suburban
Handicap, will be running a fundraiser with the theme Frosty gives away
Mister Softee to raise money for Anna House at Belmont Park Saturday,
May 29th.
The racing syndicate
has rented a Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck for this Saturday – New York Showcase Day. They will be offering
free ice cream for children under 12, and seeking donations, with all proceeds
from the day going directly to Anna House. The truck will be set up in the
Belmont Park backyard near the playground.
Anna House is the child-care center for the families of backstretch employees. Anna House is located right in the backstretch area of Belmont Park. The center provides quality day care for the parents while they work and gives the children a head start to be ready for school.
