The Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot will stand at $137,556.28 for Sunday’s program at Gulfstream Park, and there will be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $9,196.06.
Multiple tickets with all six winners in the Rainbow 6 were sold, each worth $574.14.
The popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved since a lucky bettor cashed for $76,799 on Jan. 13.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Sunday’s six-race Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11, which includes a pair of optional claiming allowances and two maiden races, all on turf. The Super Hi 5 carryover will be on the first race.
Multiple-Stakes Winner Divisidero Prepares for Return with Second Breeze
Gunpowder Farms’ Divisidero breezed an easy half-mile over a muddy Gulfstream Park main track Saturday morning in preparation for a return to action, possibly by late February.
The Buff Bradley-trained 4-year-old, who broke his maiden at first asking last February at Gulfstream, was clocked in 50.71 seconds first second workout since returning to training. The multiple stakes-winning son of Kitten’s Joy, who captured the American Turf (G2) at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Derby Day, hasn’t run since finishing a subpar seventh in the Belmont Derby (G1) July 4.
“We just wanted give him an easy breeze. He had a three-furlong breeze a few weeks ago, and we did a two-minute lick with him last week,” Bradley said. “He’s doing well. Hopefully, we’ll find a race for him around late February.”
Bradley said Divisidero had no serious physical issues.
“I felt like he needed a break,” he said. “The owners did the right thing by him. We’re looking forward to racing him again.”
Norumbega, General a Rod Entered in Thursday’s Feature
Graded-stakes winners Norumbega and Midnight Cello top a field of five entered in Thursday’s featured $48,000 optional claiming allowance for older horses at 1 1/16 miles.
