Saturday’s Del Mar Recap  – July 27 (Day 9)

Three more sprint wire jobs on Polytrack (2 at 6f, 1 at 7f). The other two synthetic sprints were nabbed by a presser and a closer, and the three synthetic routes were captured by patient types. The two 8.5f turf routes were won by longshot stalker Bio Pro and chalky late runner Winning Rhythm.

Edwin Maldonado rode three winners. Rafael Bejarano booted home a pair. John Sadler followed up two wins on Friday (Leparoux rode both) with three more on Saturday (Maldonado rode two). Bob Baffert saddled two winners on the card.

On the ticket front I tabbed one Primary (Splendiferous Moon) winner and three Secondary (Quality Plan, Corsa Di Cavalli, Winning Rhythm) winners.
