Sunday tab: Accomplished Girl works for Pegasus Filly & Mare

Accomplished Girl worked at Gulfstream Park on Sunday ahead of a start in Saturday's Grade 2 Pegasus Filly and Mare Turf.

Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., the 4-year-old Stret Boss filly breezed five furlongs on the all-weather track in 58.9 seconds, the second fastest of seven works at the distance. Unraced as a 2-year-old, she compiled a record of 7: 3-2-0 last year.

Another Joseph trainee, Lord Miles, had his first work since finishing second in a black-type stakes in August. He breezed three furlongs in 38.12 seconds on Gulfstream's dirt track.

Accomplished Girl (Street Boss), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Presque Isle Downs Masters), worked five furlongs in 58.9 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Sunday morning. It was the second fastest of seven works at the distance. Her previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Gulfstream Park. In her last start she placed second in the Suwannee River (G3) going one mile on the turf at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 30 for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.

Honor Marie (Honor Code), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Kentucky Jockey Club), worked five furlongs in 59.6 seconds at Fair Grounds on Sunday morning. It was the fastest of five works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Fair Grounds. In his last start he won the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 25 for trainer D. Beckman.

Lord Miles (Curlin), a Grade 2 winner (2023 Wood Memorial), worked three furlongs in 38.1 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Sunday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 19 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Robert Hilton Memorial going seven furlongs on the main track at Charles Town on Aug. 25 for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.

Messier (Empire Maker), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2022 Robert B. Lewis, 2021 Bob Hope), worked four furlongs in 52.0 seconds at Belmont Park on Sunday morning. It was the 17th fastest of 31 works at the distance. His previous work was nine days ago going four furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start he placed third in an allowance race going 6 1/2 furlongs on the synthetic at Woodbine on Dec. 7 for trainer Kevin Attard.

Tawny Port (Pioneerof the Nile), a two-time Grade 3 winner (2022 Ohio Derby, 2022 Lexington), worked four furlongs in 50.4 seconds at Payson Park on Sunday morning. It was the 15th fastest of 16 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going three furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start he placed fifth in the Sycamore (G3) going 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 13 for trainer Christophe Clement.

Classier (Empire Maker), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Los Alamitos Derby), worked four furlongs in 50.4 seconds at Pimlico on Sunday morning. It was the fastest of 29 works at the distance. His previous work was 12 days ago going four furlongs at Pimlico. In his last start he placed third in an allowance race going six furlongs on the main track at Laurel Park on Nov. 18 for trainer Kieron Magee.

Little Vic (Practical Joke), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Tom Fool Handicap), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds at Tampa Bay Downs on Sunday morning. It was the 16th fastest of 91 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Tampa Bay Downs. In his last start he placed fourth in the Rumson going five furlongs on the main track at Monmouth Park on Sept. 3 for trainer Juan Carlos Avila.
