Saturday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – June 14

Edge to early-pressing types on the fast main track with two horses going virtually wire-to-wire (5f, 9f). Turf course played fair with an 8f wire job, two stalking winners 98f, 6.5f), and a late running downhill winner.

Four-bagger for Joe Talamo including both Grade 1’s. Phil D’Amato saddled two turf winners including Obviously in the G1 Shoemaker Mile. Jorge Gutierrez saddled two maiden winners and Talamo rode both.
