Sunday works: Shantisara, 11 other graded winners are on tabs
Still working back for a second start after a five-month break, Shantisara turned in a 49.8-second workout covering a half-mile Sunday morning at Payson Park Training Center in Florida.
The 4-year-old Coulsty filly who was bred in Ireland has raced only twice for trainer Chad Brown since her victory in last year’s Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1). After finishing second to stablemate Regal Glory in the April running of the Jenny Wiley (G1), Shantisara got a five-month break. She returned to workouts in September. In her comeback she finished fifth in a six-horse field last month in the Fall Harvest. Her last three races were at Keeneland.
There were 12 graded-stakes winners who showed up on Sunday tabs across the country.
