Sunday’s 4th race from Santa Anita Park (2-4-17) is the Grade 2 Las Virgenes for 3-year-old fillies traveling one mile on the main track.
#1 THIRTEEN SQUARED (5-2) stretched out and earned much improved numbers in a flat mile wire job at Los Al on 12-7-17. The other Baffert is firing local bullets for this and should be forwardly placed from the rail under Baze (4 2-0-1 w/Baffert).
#3 Dream Tree (3-5) is 3-for-3 for Baffert and she projects a stalking trip under Van Dyke. Her numbers dipped when she stretched out and won the G1 Starlet at Los Al on 12-9-17.
#5 Steph Being Steph (4-1) finished 2nd in both local sprint stakes including the G2 Santa Ynez at seven panels Jan 7.
