Little Nick edged Mr. Nightlinger by a neck in the $150,000 Bob Umphrey Turf Sprint at five furlongs. The victory was the first in a stakes race for Little Nick, who is trained by Bill White.

Little Nick, ridden by Manoel Cruz, was in fifth place entering the stretch before he began his rally. He ran the distance in 55.76 seconds.
