Waterford Stable’s Summer Front, fourth in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) and most recently runner-up in the Frank E. Kilroe Mile (G1), tops an evenly matched field of seven entered Tuesday for Friday’s 27th running of the $300,000 Maker’s 46 Mile (G1).

The Maker’s 46 Mile will go as the ninth race on Friday’s 10-race program with a scheduled post time of 5:13 p.m. ET. First post Friday is 1:05 p.m.

Trained by Christophe Clement, the 6-year-old Summer Front is a multiple graded stakes winner and a three-time runner-up in Grade 1 events including last year’s Eddie Read at Del Mar and Shoemaker Mile at Santa Anita.

Victor Espinoza will have the mount Friday and break from post position three.

Also coming out of the Kilroe Mile is the Live Oak Plantation’s Za Approval, who finished fourth.

A multiple graded stakes winner now trained by Mark Casse, Za Approval was fourth in last year’s Maker’s 46 Mile. Mike Smith has the mount Friday and will break from post position six.

Coming out of graded stakes competition in Florida for the race are Wachtel Stable and George Kerr’s Long On Value and Gary Barber’s Jack Milton, the respective first- and fourth-place finishers in the Canadian Turf (G3) at Gulfstream on Feb. 21.

Trained by two-time Maker’s winner Bill Mott, Long On Value won the Twilight Derby (G2) on the Breeders’ Cup undercard at Santa Anita last year for his biggest victory. Joel Rosario has the mount and will break from post two.

Jack Milton, who was favored in the Canadian Turf, won the Poker (G3) last May and in his lone Keeneland appearance took the 2013 Transylvania (G3). Trained by Todd Pletcher, Jack Milton will break from post position seven and be ridden by Javier Castellano.

Two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan won the past two runnings of the Maker’s 46 Mile.

The field for the Maker’s 46 Mile, from the inside out, is as follows: Skyring (Marcelino Pedroza Jr., 118 pounds), Long On Value (Rosario, 120), Summer Front (Victor Espinoza, 118), Aripeka (Julien Leparoux, 118), Legendary (GB) (Sheldon Russell, 118), Za Approval (Smith, 118) and Jack Milton (Castellano, 118),
