Success Brocken necks Casino Drive in February Stakes

2/22/2009 - Success Brocken put his neck in front at the line to win the February Stakes(g1) Sunday afternoon at Tokyo. A head in front of favorite Kane Hekili, Casino Drive(USA) finished second in the field of 16. Espoir City(USA) made the running, clocking the first 1000-meter in 58.80 seconds. Casino Drive was right on the heels of the leader. Success Brocken trailed a step behind. Kane Hekili followed in fouth spot.Espoir City was opening up when entering the stretch, but he didn't have a plenty of reserve to get there. Within 200 meters remaining, Casino Drive took over. On the outside, Success Brocken strode strongly to challenge. Kane Hekili powered his way to the inside. From there, an exciting finish began as the three were headed toward the line. A thrilling battle of the three was wrapped by Success Brocken, who put his neck in front to get up the line.
