Square Eddie, the winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity in 2008 in his American debut, has been retired to stud with a suspensory injury, owner Paul Reddam said on Friday. The injury was detected on Thursday, two days before Square Eddie was scheduled to start in the $200,000 Strub Stakes at Santa Anita.
