Quint's Brew, a 4-year-old gelding bred in Maryland, earned the top Brisnet Speed Rating, 106, among last week's stakes winners.

Ridden by Mychel Sanchez for trainer Edward Allard, the son of Mosley went one mile in 1:37.53 to win the black-type Jennings Stakes at Laurel Park by six lengths. Quint's Brew was making his first start since June, and he improved his record to 4: 3-1-0 with the victory. He also earned a 99 Beyer Speed Figure.

Second on the list of the fastest stakes winners is Big City Lights, who earned a 105 Brisnet and 104 Beyer for his victory in the California Cup Sprint. The 6-year-old son of Mr. Big, trained by Richard Mandella, has finished in the money in all 13 career starts. As the odds-on favorite Saturday at Santa Anita, he beat the four-horse field by 7 3/4 lengths with Flavien Prat on board.

But last week's highest overall Brisnet, 107, and Beyer, 106, went to Whatchatalkinabout for an optional-claiming allowance race at Aqueduct on Thursday. Trained by Wesley Ward and ridden by Sahin Civaci, the 4-year-old Dialed In gelding won the six-furlong race by eight lengths.

And 8-year-old Top Gunner earned a 104 Beyer for his win in another optional-claiming allowance Thursday at Aqueduct. Manuel Franco rode the Into Mischief gelding to a 4 1/4-length win going six furlongs.
