The winners of Louisiana-bred stakes at Delta Downs on Saturday top the list of last week's fastest stakes winners.

Strong Promise broke a three-race losing streak with a win in the LA Bred Premier Night Sprint for trainer Allen Landry. With Jansen Melancon riding, the 4-year-old gelding beat favorite Geaux Sugar by 1 1/4 lengths in the five-furlong race. He topped all of last week's stakes winners with a 137 Horse Racing Nation speed figure.

Touchuponastar returned at age 7 and picked up where he left off, winning the LA Bred Premier Night Championship Stakes by 11 1/2 lengths for his fourth straight win and eighth victory in his last nine starts. He got a 134 HRN speed figure for his effort.
