Fierceness made up for his seventh-place finish in the Grade 1 Champagne by winning the Breeders' Cup Juvenile on Friday, and he scored the week's best Brisnet Speed Rating in the process.

With John Velazquez riding for trainer Todd Pletcher, the City of Light colt took the lead at the top of the stretch and widened it to win by 6 1/4 lengths over Muth. Covering the 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.90 on a fast track, Fierceness earned a 112 Brisnet Speed Rating, a 105 Beyer Speed Figure and a 122 TimeformUS Speed Figure.

The highest Beyer of the weekend, 111, went to Elite Power, the favorite and winner of the Breeders' Cup Sprint. It was the son of Curlin's fourth win in five starts this year.

Here are the figures for last week's highest-rated stakes winners, ranked by Brisnet Speed Ratings, with Beyer Speed Figures from Daily Racing Form and TimeformUS Speed Figures.
