Journalism's remarkable victory in Saturday's Preakness Stakes earned him the week's top Brisnet Speed Rating, a 107.

Umberto Rispoli guided the Curlin colt to a half-length victory in the second leg of the Triple Crown after getting bumped between two runners in the stretch and overtaking Gosger. They covered the 1 3/16 miles in 1:55.47.

Journalism also earned a 98 Beyer Speed Figure for his performance.

Next in the Brisnet ratings with a 105 was Awesome Aaron, winner of the Grade 3 Pimlico Special on Friday. He was one of three runners to get 100 Beyers, along with Maryland Sprint (G3) winner Booth and Louisville (G3) winner Utah Beach.
