The 7-year-old gelding by Tapiture prevailed as the 3-5 favorite in the Edward P. Evans Stakes, contested at 1 1/16 miles on a muddy dirt track. This victory marked his 11th career win from 52 lifetime starts.

Neoequos produced a standout 129 HRN speed figure at Monmouth Park, securing victory as the 1-5 favorite in the Jersey Shore Stakes at six furlongs on dirt. The 3-year-old colt by Neolithic recorded his third career win in his 10th lifetime start, continuing his development as a talented sprinter.

Leslie's Rose completed the top three performers with a matching 129 HRN figure at Saratoga in the Shuvee Stakes (G2). The 4-year-old filly by Into Mischief triumphed at 4-1 odds in the 1 1/8-mile dirt contest. Maiden winners showcase promising talent

Frack Baby topped the list of maiden winners with a 122 HRN speed figure at Delaware Park. The 3-year-old colt by Lord Nelson broke through in a six-furlong dirt maiden special weight as the 6-5 favorite in his third career start. He is out of Kodiak's Dancer, a daughter of Kodiak Kowboy, whose previous top offspring include Philly Creed, who earned $6,000.

Speed Shopper delivered a strong 109 HRN figure in a 1 3/8-mile turf maiden special weight at Saratoga. The 4-year-old filly by Quality Road won at 8-1 odds in her fifth career start. She is out of Fast Retailing by Malibu Moon, who also produced Biggie, a $36,000 earner by Uncle Mo.

Vasa earned a 108 HRN speed figure at Del Mar in a 6 1/2-furlong dirt maiden special weight. The 4-year-old gelding by Preservationist triumphed at 5-1 odds in his second career start. His dam Limitless by Discreet Cat produced Ingersoll, who earned $73,000 in his career.

About HRN speed figures

HRN speed figures are AI-generated using HRN's proprietary machine-learning algorithms. Although they involve less human input than other speed figures, we see that as a plus as human adjustments often knock down surprisingly good performances to match expectations. HRN speed figures were launched in December 2024, and our expectation is also that the AI-generated speed figures will continously get better over time.

The HRN speed figure scale goes from 1 to 160. Part of the reason for this higher scale is this helps us avoid assigning a speed figure of zero. For some products, in weaker races, half the field or more may get a speed figure of zero, which leads to inaccuracy and defeats the purpose of speed figures.

Because the HRN speed figures are based on machine learning, as we improve our models we can compute the numbers historically. 

Using the top last-race speed figure as a benchmark, here are stats from 2021 to 2024 for HRN and other speed-figure providers:

Although all HRN speed figures are published on individual horse profile pages on a weekly basis, the daily reports are focused on the top and medium-tier tracks, which represent the majority of top speed figures.
