Speech, By My Standards highlight Thursday's graded stakes works
Grade 1 Ashland Stakes winner Speech worked a strong five furlongs at Del Mar on Thursday morning for trainer Michael McCarthy as she gets set for her clash with Gamine and Swiss Skydiver in the Kentucky Oaks. Multiple Grade 2 winner and Whitney Stakes runner-up By My Standards put forth a solid five-furlong drill at Churchill Downs for trainer William Bret Calhoun.
