Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Sovereignty is tied for seventh in the latest world's best racehorse rankings, the highest of any U.S-based horse.

The Into Mischief colt, a Godolphin homebred, could make his next start in the Grade 2 Jim Dandy at Saratoga on July 26 as a prep for the Travers (G1). In the Travers, he could have a rematch with Journalism, runner-up in the Derby and Belmont and winner of the Preakness Stakes.

Two older U.S. horses are tied for 12th place in the rankings. White Abarrio won the Pegasus World Cup (G1) and the Ghostzapper (G3) to start the year but was fourth in the Met Mile (G1) last out. He's pointed to the Whitney (G1) on Aug. 2. Locked, runner-up in the Pegasus World Cup, won the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) but is 0-for-2 in graded stakes since.

Three horses are tied for the no. 1 spot in the rankings. Field of Gold won the St. James's Palace Stakes (G1) at Ascot last out. Forever Young won the Saudi Cup (G1) but was third last out in the Dubai World Cup (G1), and Ombudsman has a 7: 5-2-0 record this year, including a win in the Prince of Wales's (G1) at Ascot.

The rankings are compiled by the world’s best racehorse rankings committee and published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.
