Skibidi Rizz is not just entered for turf on Thursday at Hawthorne. The Nyquist gelding is grass coded.

Since breaking his maiden July 15 at Horseshoe Indianapolis in an off-the-turf affair, Skibidi Rizz has been at trainer and co-owner John Haran's Hawthorne base of operations. Haran claimed Skbidi Rizz in April for a partnership that includes Michael Ryan's Clabar Mor Stables.

"We’re already even on him after that win, so we’re hoping to have some fun with him,” Ryan said. “He has a fan club, that’s for sure, and he’s only a 3-year-old so he can keep developing. We’ll probably try to get him back on turf."

Skibidi Rizz's lone other turf try came June 8 at Hawthorne against maiden-special-weight foes. He was never a threat at 20-1 but has run improved figures in each of his starts since, and Haran claimed him with turf in mind.

Skibidi Rizz's race on Thursday is the fifth of eight with a post time of 5:40 p.m. EDT. The purse is $31,000, and Skibidi Rizz is the 12-1 seventh choice in the field of eight meant for turf. Javier Tavares is the jockey.
