Sis's Sis Tops Irish Day Handicap

Sis's Sis seeks her third straight victory in Sunday's $50,000 Irish Day Handicap for 3-year-old fillies at a mile—the first route leading up to the $75,000 Washington Oaks on Aug. 14. The Cahill Road filly makes her 2010 stakes debut after an impressive three-quarter-length victory over stablemate Sweet Nellie Brown on May 15.

Sis's Sis (5-3-0-0-$24,885) stalked the early leaders, moved up alongside betting favorite Sweet Nellie Brown in a classic stretch duel, where both Jim Penney-trainees separated themselves from the field by more than five lengths. Sis's Sis crossed the wire first for owners Michael and Amy Feuerborn in 1:08 3/5.

“I was very pleased with her last race,” Michael Feuerborn said. “I hope Sis's Sis continues to improve.”
