Two days before a mandatory payout is scheduled, the 20-cent Rainbow 6 was solved Friday for a jackpot payoff of $2,211,783.62 at Gulfstream Park. The popular-multi-race wager had gone unsolved for 47 consecutive racing days.

The winning combination was 5-1-3-9-6-5.

A mandatory payout for the Rainbow 6, as well as the Late Pick 5 and last-race Super Hi-5, are still scheduled for Sunday, the closing day of the Summer Meet. If no one had hit Rainbow 6 before Sunday, the pool could be as high as $10 million.

The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one lucky bettor hit for a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that days’ pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The carryover jackpot stood at $1,965,546.90 at the start of Rainbow 6 wagering Friday, when a total of $307,901 was bet into the multi-race pool.

The Rainbow 6 will start anew on Saturday’s FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes program. First race post time for the 14-race program featuring eight stakes worth $1.35 million is set for noon.

Saturday’s 14-race program will feature eighth stakes worth $1.325 million, co-headlined by the $400,000 FSS In Reality in Race 13 and the $400,000 FSS My Dear Girl in Race 11. Liam’s Lucky Charm, the $200,000 FSS Affirmed winner, and Chance It, the $100,000 Dr. Fager victor, will clash in the In Reality for 2-year-old colts and geldings. Ceci Valentina, the winner of the $200,000 FSS Susan’s Girl, will seek to double up in the $400,000 FSS My Dear Girl for 2-year-old fillies.

Both stakes will be included in the Rainbow 6 (Races 9-14), Late Pick 5 (Races 10-14) and Late Pick 4 (Races 11-14). There will be pool guarantees Saturday for the Late Pick-5 ($100,000) and the Late Pick 4 ($150,000).
