Silver Timber Seeks Shakertown Repeat

Keeneland turf sprint specialist Silver Timber goes after his fourth local turf sprint tally from as many starts when he takes on Chamberlain Bridge and seven others in Saturday's Grade 3 Shakertown Stakes at Keeneland.

Silver Timber, an 8-year-old gelding trained by Chad Brown, reunites with winning pilot Julien Leparoux.  He does his best running in the stretch and is capable of firing a fresh shot.

2010 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Chamberlain Bridge returned in the pink at Sam Houston in Febraury and was slated to ship to Dubai but his travel plans went awry. He has worked six times since his last and could easily make it three straight.

Grand Adventure figures to offer value at 6-1 on the morning line. He finished a neck behind Silver Timber in this event last year and Joel Rosario hops aboard the tactical threat.

Wesley Ward's Great Attack brings strong Florida form to the table and should make his presence felt throughout under Jeffrey Sanchez. He rates a realistic shot at 5-1 on the line.

The 9-horse field is completed by Goldzar, Kennessey, Strike Impact, Stratford Hill, and Southern Region.
