Champion Abel Tasman
, recovered from recent illness attributed to her lackluster fifth-place finish in the Zenyatta Stakes (G1) back on Sept. 30, worked six furlongs Friday in company with Zenyatta winner and stablemate Vale Dori.

Both clocked in at 1:00.20.
Joe Talamo was aboard Abel Tasman, while Drayden Van Dyke
 rode Vale Dori.

“Both went very well,” said
Bob Baffert, who has both targeting the Nov. 3 Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Churchill Downs. “Whatever Abel had, she’s over it. She’s back and I’m very happy with her.”
Baffert also sent Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint contender Dream Tree five furlongs in a bullet 59.40, fastest of 48 drills at the distance. He's expected to saddle Marley's Freedom in that race as well.

The possible Breeders' Cup Juvenile favorite Game Winner, another from Baffert's barn, clocked in at a snappy 47.20 seconds, soundly besting his workmate.

In other notable Santa Anita workers on Friday morning, Doug O’Neill
had Classic contender Pavel breeze six furlongs in 1:14.80. Paddy Gallagher supervised a three furlong blowout for Distaff longshot La Force in 37 flat.
