Multiple Grade I winner Sheer Drama put in her final work for the $1 million Ogden Phipps (G1) June 11 at Belmont Park by breezing five furlongs in a 'bullet' 59.32 seconds Thursday morning at Gulfstream Park.
Bred and owned by Harold Queen and trained by David Fawkes, Sheer Drama, a 6-year-old mare who won the 2015 Delaware Handicap (G1) and Personal Ensign (G1) and started her 2016 season with a victory in the Madison (G1), galloped out in 1:12.80.
"She worked really good," Fawkes said. "She went in 59 and galloped out in 12-and-three. She went really, really well. Strong finish...really happy with the work."
Sheer Drama goes into the Phipps off a third-place finish May 6 in the La Troienne (G1) at Churchill Downs.

"She came out of the race fine," Fawkes said, "I just don't think she likes the racetrack. She's run three times there. She's had a couple seconds and a third. She just don't like that track."
