Last year's Champion 2-year-old Shared Belief romped to a 4 ½-length victory in his highly anticipated 3-year-old debut on Memorial Day. The undefeated gelding wired older rivals in a $35,000 Allowance race at Golden Gate Fields, his first start since winning the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity at Betfair Hollywood Park on Dec. 14, 2013.

The son of Candy Ride (ARG), out of the Storm Cat dam Common Hope was never threatened as he took control of the six-furlong race early. Hand-ridden by jockey Russell Baze, Shared Belief set a pace of :23.32, :46.48, and :58.04, to finish in 1:09.78.

Owned in partnership by Jungle Racing, LLC, KMN Racing, LLC, Jerry Hollendorfer, Litt, Alex Solis II and Todaro, Shared Belief was relocated to Golden Gate Fields from trainer Jerry Hollendorfer’s Southern California base after sustaining a foot injury early in the year.

Shared Belief was sent off heavily favored at 1-5, paying $2.40 for the win. Ourwestcoastghost finished second, Moonshine Bay was third and Valiant Flame followed in fourth.
