Shared Account Begins Year in Gallorette

Last year's Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Shared Account makes her much anticipated return in Saturday's grassy Grade 3 Gallorette Handicap at Pimlico Race Course. She totes 125 pounds for Graham Motion and finished a close-up 4th in this event last year.

Shared Account is clearly the class of the Gallorette field but might need the outing and the eight and one-half furlong distance is shorter than her best. Edgar Prado rides the 4-5 morning line favorite.

A couple of recent overseas transplants figure to make a race of it. Desert Sage captured both turf routes this winter at Gulfstream Park and will be finishing under Julien Leparoux. Dyna Waltz held the place in an off the turf synthetic marathon at Keeneland in her US bow and is capable in shorter events. Ramon Dominguez hops aboard for Jonathan Sheppard.

No Explaining always runs her race on turf for Roger Attfield and the Gallorette field is completed by My Sweet Nenana, Theda's Smile, Baltimore Belle, and Joharmony.
