Shapperdacapper/ReRun to Make Big Splash Starting with the Belmont

The excitement for the upcoming week is beginning to grow as this Saturday marks one of the most anticipated days of thoroughbred racing this century. Highlighted by California Chrome’s attempt to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978, Belmont Park and the New York Racing Association have put together one of the best racing cards perhaps ever.  Whether it be the Metropolitan Mile featuring last year’s Belmont Park winner Palace Malice and West Coast star Goldencents, the Ogden Phipps Handicap featuring 2013 Breeders Cup’ Distaff champion Beholder as she battles the very talented Close Hatches and Princess of Sylmar or the Belmont Stakes itself, this card promises to be one racing fans will never forget.

As part of this big day and in a growing effort to both raise money and awareness for the ReRun Thoroughbred Adoption, www.shapperdacapper.com as well as long time ReRun supporters and racing handicappers/owners Kristy & John Deyeso and fellow shapperdacapper.com analyst Jason Perry will be dedicating all proceeds from five designated wagers placed on Belmont Stakes Day. The three handicappers will make five $5 wagers of their choice on any of Saturday’s plethora of stakes races and all revenue earned in those wagers will go directly to ReRun to help assist in the adoption, rehabilitating and retraining of past thoroughbred racehorses.  Anyone wishing to get involved can contact www.shapperdacapper.com via their website or ReRun Adoption Inc directly for donations.  Whether it is placing similar wagers as the professional handicappers or a simple one-time donation, everything is greatly appreciative and will towards an amazing cause.

Shapperdacapper.com is a website dedicated to providing racing and sports fans with information to assist them in selecting winners at the racetrack as well as the gridiron and hardwood. This will be the first of many efforts to use their expertise and hard work to help raise funds for the past equine athletes.
