A select group of six has entered the Grade 3, $150,000 Iselin Stakes at Monmouth Park, with the streaking Bradester looking to capture his third graded event of the meet in Sunday’s mile and an eighth test for 3-year-olds and up.  Jockey Corey Lanarie, who’s been aboard for Bradester’s wins in the Salvator Mile (G3) and Monmouth Cup (G2) this season will be back aboard again on Sunday.

He’ll square off against a fellow graded stakes winner over the Monmouth main track in Albano, who was an easy winner of last year’s Pegasus Stakes before coming back to finish second in the William Hill Haskell Invitational to eventual Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Bayern.  Kerwin Clark has the return call on Albano for trainer J. Larry Jones.

Trainer Todd Pletcher has a pair entered in the Iselin, with Anchor Down, a son of Tapit, trying stakes company for the first time and Matterhorn, who competed in last year’s Belmont Stakes (G1), riding a two-race win streak into the Iselin.

The well regarded Matrooh, who has also won his last two, goes for trainer Chad Brown and has drawn the fence, with Valid, the only entrant stabled at Monmouth, directly to his outside.

The Iselin goes as Monmouth’s 10th race on an 11-race program with an approximate post time of 5:14 p.m.

The entire field, from the rail out with rider assignments, is:

1.      Matrooh, Abel Castellano, Jr.

2.      Valid, Nik Juarez

3.      Anchor Down, Paco Lopez

4.      Albano, Kerwin Clark

5.      Bradester, Corey Lanarie

6.      Matterhorn, Joe Bravo
