Secret Circle, the only horse ever to win the Breeder's Cup Juvenile
Sprint, the $1.5 Million Breeder's Cup Sprint (G1), and the Golden Shaheen (G1), has been retired to stud at John G. Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms.
Secret Circle retires with career earnings of $3,670,790, winning or placing in 15 of his 16 lifetime starts. He defeated a top international field earlier this year while winning the $2 Million Golden Shaheen (G1) and missed winning his third Breeder's Cup Sprint (G1) by less than a half a length.
"Secret Circle was ridiculously fast and could run horses off their feet. He is a big bodied beautiful horse and a study in great conformation" said Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert.  "Mike, Carl, and Paul all feel they owe it to Secret Circle to support him in the same way they did Midnight Lute, a two time Breeders Cup winner as well. They look forward to breeding and buying mares that will suit him. You can't breed to a horse with his looks and race record at this price," added Baffert.
Secret Circle broke his maiden at first asking by 7 1/4 lengths, and remained undefeated as a two year old with an impressive victory in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint. He ran 7 triple digit Beyers, posting eye-popping fractions of :21 1/5, 42 4/5, :55 3/5, and 6 panels in 1:07 4/5, winning from 5 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/16 miles.
"The owners want to stand out in the marketplace and I believe they will with this outstanding racehorse," said John G. Sikura.
"We are insistent that Secret Circle be ultra-competitive with all the incentive-laden programs in place for breeders. With that in mind, we have set his fee at $5.000.00 stands and nurses or $7,500 payable out of proceeds. Any breeder that breeds a mare in the first two years will breed for free in his third year at stud. We think that's a lot of horse for the price," said co-owner Mike Pegram.

Secret Circle will be available for inspection at Hill 'n' Dale's Open House starting this Saturday, 10/17/15.
