See the field and where they drew for the $20 million Saudi Cup
The richest horse race in the world, Saturday's $20 million Saudi Cup, drew a full field of 14 on Wednesday including five U.S.-based horses.
All of the American runners appeared to draw well for the 1 1/8-miles test, which is contested around one turn. Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile and Pegasus (G1) winner Knicks Go drew post position No. 5 for trainer Brad Cox, while Max Player -- who will be making his first start since the Preakness for trainer Steve Asmussen -- will break just to his inside from post position No. 4.
Charlatan, winner of the Malibu (G1) off a layoff most recently for trainer Bob Baffert, is the widest of the American horses in post No. 9. Sleepy Eyes Todd, exiting a fourth in the Pegasus for Asmussen, drew just to his inside in post No. 8. Tacitus -- making his second go-around in the Saudi Cup after finishing fifth last year -- is in post position No. 7.
Post time for the Saudi Cup is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. Eastern.
