A full field of 14 will contest the Saudi Cup, with America's White Abarrio installed as the 3-1 favorite. Preakness and Pegasus World Cup champ, National Treasure, Met Mile winner, Hoist the Gold, Pegasus runner-up Señor Buscador and Pennsylvania Derby winner Saudi Crown round out the US-based contingent. They will take on four from Japan, led by Ushba Tesoro and Derma Sotogake. Saudi Arabia is represented in its signature race by five runners, with the spotlight on their newly-acquired Defunded, who previously raced for Pegram, Watson and Weitman with trainer Bob Baffert.
