Saturday’s 7th race from Santa Anita Park (2-3-17) is the Grade 2 San Marcos Stakes for 4-year-olds and up traveling a mile and a quarter on the turf course.
#4 ISOTHERM (3-1) won this race last year and got a decent prep under his belt in the G2 San Gabriel. Flavien Prat sticks with the stalking threat.
#5 Itsinthepost (9-5) beat some of these in the San Gabriel and he won a trio of local graded turf routes in 2017.
#6 Flamboyant (4-1) rallied for the place in the San Gabriel and he won the 2016 San Marcos.
#2 Free Rose (8-1) faded to 6th in the common San Gabriel and that was his first start in 7+ months.
#7 Hayabusa One (8-1) looked good beating local optional claimers at nine furlongs for new trainer Peter Miller Jan. 13.
