Two of the leading 3-year-olds of 2024, Sierra Leone and Mystik Dan, worked Saturday morning.

Sierra Leone, the Breeders' Cup Classic winner and 3-year-old champion, worked worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds at Payson Park for trainer Chad Brown. It was his third workout since finishing third in the Grade 3 New Orleans Classic at Fair Grounds in March.

Mystik Dan, the 2024 Kentucky Derby winner, worked five furlongs at Oaklawn in 1:01.4 for trainer Kenny McPeek. It was his fourth workout since finishing ninth in the Pegasus World Cup in January. He is likely to return May 3 in the Lake Ouachita Stakes at Oaklawn, getting a class drop after a string of top-level starts.

In addition to his Kentucky Derby prospect Burnham Square, trainer Ian Wilkes also sent out Positano Sunset, his upset winner of the Madison (G1), for her first work since that top-level win. She worked four furlongs over the Keeneland dirt in 49.6 seconds. Positano Sunset was graded-stakes placed before that upset win, after a second-place effort in the Chicago Stakes (G3) in 2024, but the Madison was her first graded-stakes triumph.
