Saturday works: Journalism drills ahead of return
Journalism breezed five furlongs in 1:01.6 at Santa Anita on Saturday morning, recording the sixth-fastest of nine works at the distance.
The 4-year-old son of Curlin, trained by Michael McCarthy, won the Santa Anita Derby (G1), Preakness and Haskell (G1) in 2025. McCarthy pointed Journalism toward the Oaklawn Handicap (G2) at Oaklawn, the Ben Ali (G3) at Keeneland on April 18 or the Alysheba (G2) at Churchill Downs on May 1.
