Formidable Man returned to the work tab Saturday for the first time since winning the Grade 1 Frank Kilroe Mile on March 1.

The 4-year-old son of City of Light worked four furlongs on the Santa Anita dirt in 48.2 seconds. Trained by Michael McCarthy, has won four of his last five starts, including the Kilroe Mile last out and the Hollywood Derby (G1) three starts back.

Just F Y I, the champion juvenile filly of 2023, worked a bullet Saturday morning in her final drill before a return to graded-stakes company in the Doubledogdare (G3) on Friday at Keeneland. The Bill Mott trainee worked four furlongs in 48 seconds at Payson Park, fastest of 61 over the course and distance Saturday. In her seasonal debut March 13, she set the pace but was overhauled in the lane by Literate and left to chase on for second.
