Saturday works: Far Bridge is among 14 graded winners on tab
Six months since his last race, Grade 1 winner Far Bridge continued working toward his 4-year-old debut.
The English Channel colt owned by Lawrence Sarf’s LSU Stables and trained by Todd Pletcher, the English Channel colt breezed five furlongs in 1:03.0 on the Payson Park turf Saturday morning. It was the sixth week in a row that Far Bridge has breezed since he came back from a five-month break since his runner-up finish in the Dueling Grounds Derby (G3) at Kentucky Downs.
Pletcher has not said publicly where Far Bridge may race next.

Next (Not This Time), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2023 Brooklyn, 2022 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance), worked five furlongs in 1:02.4 at Turfway Park. It was the 23rd fastest of 36 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Turfway Park. In his last start he won the Greenwood Cup (G3) going 1 1/2 miles on the main track at Parx Racing on Sept. 23 for trainer Doug Cowans.
Brooklyn Strong (Wicked Strong), a Grade 2 winner (2020 Remsen), worked five furlongs in 1:01.8 at Parx Racing. It was the second fastest of three works at the distance. His previous work was 10 days ago going five furlongs at Parx Racing. In his last start he placed eighth in a starter allowance race going one mile on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 24 for trainer Víctor Barboza.
