Friday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – May 1

No wire-to-wire winners on the fast main track. A downhill stalker, two flat mile patient runners, and a downhill wire job made up the four firm turf winners (rail at 24 feet).

Flavien Prat and Felipe Valdez both booted home a pair. Doug O’Neill saddled three winners. Joe Talamo and Bill Spawr teamed up for two wins.

On the Pick 6 carryover ticket front, I tabbed three Primary winners (Lucky J Lane, Nicegirlsfnishlast, Morning Coffee) and one Secondary winner (Endless Cruise). I just missed a conso when 9-1 Primary contender Fight Thru lost by a neck in the 5th race.
