Saturday’s 7th race from Santa Anita Park (2-17-17) is the Grade 2 Buena Vista Stakes for fillies and mares traveling one mile on the turf course.
#2 MADAM DANCEALOT (7-2) fired trifecta shots in her final six turf stakes starts last year from 6.5 furlongs to a mile and a quarter (Last Fraction in 22+ seconds in 4 of those 6 turf races). She might finish full of run under Corey Nakatani.
#1 Insta Erma (7-2) was the beaten favorite in the G3 Megahertz but was not disgraced in a place finish and could be fitter 2nd off the shelf.
#4 Madame Stripes (3-1) won the Megahertz last time and she is a gem of consistency for Neil Drysdale.
#7 Fault (15-1) was in excellent form last spring/summer and is capable of finishing up in 22 and change when she is on her game. Phil D’Amato has her in Southern California now and she drilled a local bullet for this Feb. 11.
THE PLAYS:
#2 to win
Exacta 2/1-4-7
Exacta 1-4-7/2
Trifecta 1-2/ALL/4-7
